                                    Bio

     

       As a Georgia native, Terrance Martin started his training in the Arts at DeKalb School of the Arts in Atlanta, Ga. Originally, Terrance started out not as a dance major at DSA, but as a music major, playing the trumpet in the Band. At the age of 15, Terrance fell in love with dancing, where he started training with, Pamela Jones-Malave and Dean Williams. His major dance training came from Lenise Heard and Denise Heard-Latimer, at DanceMakers of Atlanta.  With their guidance Terrance was offered generous scholarships to multiple Colleges, Universities and Conservatories around the U.S.A. After a very hard decision, Terrance attended, with a Full Scholarship and graduated with a B.F.A in Dance Performance from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pa.

 

      After graduation Terrance worked hard and was blessed with many great opportunities, working for amazing theatres like the Goodman Theatre, Drury Lane Theatre, Fireside Theatre, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, and Paramount Theatre. He traveled to Israel and China with the International tour of Zorro the Musical and has been seen dancing on T.V. as a featured dancer in the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade. From the opportunities to work in many amazing Equity Regional Theatres, Terrance was able to jon and become a proud member of Actors Equity Association. He also became Rehearsal Director and Jazz teacher at DanceMakers of Atlanta and became a Founding Member of the Black Artist Dance Collective, when he relocated his base back in Atlanta during the pandemic.

Terrance is currently apart of the HamFam. As a Swing he has joined 4 different Tour Companies of Hamilton the American Musical. Where he has had the opportunity to perform all across the U.S.A. , Manila, Philippines, Singapore, and Sydney, Australia.
